The train.
Independent AVE journey from Madrid, round-trip tickets included. Boarding instructions confirmed at least 48 hours before departure. Arrive at the station 15 minutes early — missed trains are non-refundable.

Arrival in Córdoba.
Your official local guide meets you at the station and transfers you into the historic center.

The Mezquita-Catedral.
Entry included. A mosque of nearly a thousand columns with a cathedral built into its center in the 16th century — without demolishing what was already there. Your guide explains the sequence of decisions that made that possible.

 

The Jewish Quarter.
Whitewashed lanes, flower-filled patios, medieval street grid. Slower here. Worth it

The Roman Bridge.
1st-century BC. Still on its original alignment. The view back toward the old town — Mezquita tower, city walls, Alcázar — is the one most people only see on postcards.

The Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos.
Medieval fortress with Roman, Moorish and Christian layers. Formal Andalusian gardens. Most group tours rush this or skip it entirely.

Plaza de las Tendillas.
A working city square, not a tourist set piece. The natural end of the day before the transfer back to the station.

 

The return.
Your guide accompanies you to the station. AVE back to Madrid. Around twelve hours door to door.

  • This experience includes round-trip AVE tickets. The train journey is self-guided; detailed boarding instructions are provided at least 48 hours before departure.

  • Your official local guide meets you at Córdoba station upon arrival and accompanies you throughout the experience.

  • Train times are fixed. The walking route within Córdoba — pace, stops, order — flexes around your group and Mezquita entry slots.

  • The historic center is largely flat with narrow, shaded streets — comfortable for most walkers. The full day involves several hours on foot.

  • Córdoba summers are serious. May to September: water and sun protection are essential. The Mezquita's interior is the coolest room of the day — plan accordingly.

  • The route works well for families. The Mezquita, the Roman Bridge and the Alcázar gardens hold well for children of most ages.

Cancellation Policy

Free cancellation up to 7 days before the scheduled date (excluding monument/attraction tickets, which are non-refundable). An optional cancellation insurance is available during booking, allowing cancellation up to 48 hours before departure for a full refund (excluding tickets where applicable).

Operator cancellations due to weather or unforeseen circumstances are fully refundable. No-shows will be charged the full price.
