A guided cellar visit and tasting with a specialist oenologist at a family-run winery, reached by private e-bike along the Mediterranean coast to Alella, one of Spain's smallest wine regions.

Twenty-five kilometers of Mediterranean coastline separate Barcelona from the vines of Alella, one of Spain's smallest wine regions, and one most day trips never reach because getting there usually means a car. An e-bike covers the distance instead. The coast holds one side of the road, the Serralada Litoral rises on the other, for the better part of an hour before the first vines appear. At Bouquet d'Alella, a specialist oenologist walks the cellar from soil to bottle and pours three Alella DO (Denominación de Origen) wines, Pansa Blanca among them, alongside other visitors there for the same tasting. Cheese, cured sausage, and bread with tomato round it out. 

This suits travelers happy to spend an hour in the saddle before the reward starts. The wine tastes better for having pedaled to it.

How It Runs

Your guide handles the route, the e-bike setup, and the train back, so the only thing you're managing all day is the ride itself.

Coastal Ride to Alella 

The route heads north along the Mediterranean and into the Maresme comarca, with the Serralada Litoral climbing inland. About 25 km, mostly flat, the electric assist doing the work on the few inclines.

The Cellar Visit

 At the winery, shared with other visitors also there that day. The oenologist walks the vines and the cellar, soil to bottle. About an hour.

Three Alella DO wines, poured by the oenologist. Shared table, same group of visitors from the cellar visit.

 

Picnic Lunch

Back to Barcelona

Your guide walks you to Alella-El Masnou station. Twenty minutes on the train and the city reappears.

Good To Know

  • An exclusive adults-only (18+) experience, tailored for couples and small private groups.

  • The e-bike route and your guide are private to your group; the cellar visit and tasting at the winery are shared with other visitors booked that day.

  • This private experience can be conducted in English or Spanish. Other languages upon request, subject to guide availability.

  • Comfortable clothes suited to cycling, and shoes you don't mind pedaling in. The coastal breeze can be cool in the morning even in summer, bring a layer.

  • Approximately 25 km of mostly manageable coastal riding, with electric assistance throughout, not a demanding ride, but a real one.

  • Runs year-round; in the event of severe weather we'll contact you at least 24 hours in advance to reschedule or adapt the day.

  • Please let us know about any dietary requirements or allergies when booking, we'll do our best to accommodate them.

Cancellation Policy

Free cancellation up to 7 days before the scheduled date (excluding monument/attraction tickets, which are non-refundable). An optional cancellation insurance is available during booking, allowing cancellation up to 48 hours before departure for a full refund (excluding tickets where applicable). Operator cancellations due to weather or unforeseen circumstances are fully refundable. No-shows will be charged the full price.
