Your guide has worked these markets long enough to get an actual explanation out of a vendor who'd otherwise just wave you along, what's really in the jamón, not just its price. The route weaves on foot between La Boqueria, Barcelona's Old Town, and Santa Caterina, tasting delicatessen straight from the stalls, before closing at a traditional bodega for a Catalan vermut poured from the barrel. 

By the time you reach the bodega, you'll know what you tasted and why; the closing vermut isn't a photo stop, it's where the morning's lessons finally sit still long enough to enjoy.

How It Runs

The day moves at a market's pace, not a stopwatch's — plenty of room to linger at a stall that catches your eye. Everything is on foot, easy walking throughout. Stop order can vary depending on the day.

Meeting point · Palau de la Música Catalana
Your guide meets you here at the agreed time. The Palau, a UNESCO World Heritage building designed by Domènech i Montaner in 1908, sets the tone before the tastings even begin.

Mercat de la Boqueria · La Rambla
Barcelona's historic covered market, open since 1217, the most photographed stop of the day. Tastings happen at the counter, arranged in advance, not from a printed list.

  •  La Boqueria is most active in the morning. Earlier departures (9:00–11:00 AM) are recommended for the fullest market experience.

Cancellation Policy

Free cancellation up to 7 days before the scheduled date (excluding monument/attraction tickets, which are non-refundable). An optional cancellation insurance is available during booking, allowing cancellation up to 48 hours before departure for a full refund (excluding tickets where applicable). Operator cancellations due to weather or unforeseen circumstances are fully refundable. No-shows will be charged the full price.
