Step into Dalí’s surreal world on the edge of the Mediterranean
Most people see Cap de Creus from a car window, if at all. This experience puts you on the water, moving through it.
A private boat along the Costa Brava's northernmost cape — snorkeling in protected coves with exceptional water clarity, anchoring off Cadaqués, and passing through the rugged natural landscape that Salvador Dalí chose to live inside for decades, not just visit. It's a long day. It's meant to be.
This is a private day trip from Barcelona to Cap de Creus and Cadaqués by boat, structured around your group and no one else.
Private boat reserved exclusively for your group along the Cap de Creus Natural Park coastline — one of the best-preserved marine environments on the Costa Brava
Snorkeling in protected coves: rich marine biodiversity, posidonia meadows, and underwater rock formations shaped by the tramuntana over millennia
Time to swim, anchor, and move at your own pace — the schedule belongs to your group
Cadaqués: the whitewashed fishing village that shaped a generation of European artists and remains one of the most architecturally intact on the Catalan coast
Port Lligat: the cove where Dalí lived and worked for over 40 years — the landscape that appears, literally, in the paintings
Specialist local guide throughout the full day — context for those who want it, silence for those who don't
Cap de Creus is the easternmost point of the Iberian Peninsula and Spain's first national park to include both land and marine environments. From the water, you read the landscape differently than from land — the scale changes, the rock formations reveal themselves in sequence, and the water clarity in this protected natural park is the kind that makes you want to stop talking.
Cadaqués sits at the end of a famously slow road, which is exactly why it stayed the way it did. From the boat you arrive without the drive, anchoring in the bay and walking into a village that hasn't needed to reinvent itself. Port Lligat is smaller still — a cove where Dalí's house-studio stands unchanged, and where the line between landscape and work becomes genuinely hard to locate.
The snorkeling in Cap de Creus is specific to the place: underwater rock architecture carved by coastal erosion, Posidonia oceanica meadows that act as indicators of water quality, and protected marine species that come with the natural park designation. Not a performance. Worth the mask.

Physical level: Moderate. Boarding and disembarking the boat requires some agility; snorkeling is accessible to confident swimmers of all levels. Non-swimmers can remain on board at every stop.
Weather and sea conditions: Route and snorkeling stops may be adjusted based on wind and swell — the tramuntana wind in this part of the Costa Brava can be significant. In the event of adverse conditions, we reschedule or offer full alternatives. Your guide assesses on the day.
What to bring: Swimwear, towel, reef-safe sunscreen (strongly recommended inside the Cap de Creus Natural Park), light layer for open water, and shoes you don't mind getting wet.
Dalí House-Museum access: Requires advance reservation and should be requested at least 72 hours before departure. Daily entry is strictly limited; early booking secures your slot.
Group suitability: Works well for couples, groups of friends, and families with older children. For families with young children, let us know in advance so the guide can adjust the snorkeling stops and pacing accordingly.
