Ten hours from Barcelona: snorkeling in protected coves inside Cap de Creus Natural Park, a stop in Cadaqués, and a visit to Port Lligat, where Salvador Dalí lived and worked for over 40 years.

 

Cap de Creus was Catalonia's first natural park to protect both land and sea, and its best coves sit well past where the coastal road can take you. This private boat spends the day inside that protected water: snorkeling among rock formations shaped by the tramuntana, then anchoring at Cadaqués before continuing to Port Lligat, the cove where Salvador Dalí lived and worked for over 40 years. Built for travelers who'd rather spend the day on the water than in a coach seat.

You'll be back in Barcelona by early evening, having spent the day on water most visitors only see from a car window along the coastal road.

How It Runs

A specialist local guide, selected for their knowledge of this coast, plans every stop of the day. The full route and logistics are organized ahead, so there's nothing for you to coordinate.

Pickup at your hotel in Barcelona. 

Your guide and driver meet you at your hotel. No meeting point to find, no group to locate.

Cap de Creus Natural Park · first snorkeling stop. 

Your guide picks the cove based on conditions that morning.

 

Cadaqués. 

The boat anchors in the bay; you go ashore on foot into the whitewashed streets that drew Dalí and the artists who followed him. Free time to walk, or eat lunch on your own account.

 

Port Lligat. 

Back on the water for the short crossing to the cove where Dalí lived and worked for over 40 years. His house-studio can be visited with an advance reservation.

 

Second snorkeling stop. 

A different cove on the way back, conditions permitting.

 

Return to Barcelona. 

Private transfer to your hotel, late afternoon.

Good To Know

  • Ideal for: couples, friends, and families with older children; for younger children, mention it when booking so the guide can adjust the snorkeling stops and pacing.

  • Getting on and off the boat takes some agility; snorkeling suits confident swimmers of any level, and non-swimmers can stay aboard at every stop.

  • The tramuntana wind can be strong on this stretch of coast, and the route or snorkeling stops may change accordingly. In the event of genuinely adverse conditions, the tour is rescheduled or a full alternative is offered.

  • Best time to go is May to October, when sea conditions are calmest and the water is warm enough for comfortable snorkeling. June and September offer the best balance, warm water, lighter tramuntana winds than midsummer, fewer boats in the same coves.

  • Bring swimwear, a towel, reef-safe sunscreen (this is a protected natural park), a light layer for open water, and shoes you don't mind getting wet.

Cancellation Policy

Free cancellation up to 7 days before the scheduled date (excluding monument/attraction tickets, which are non-refundable). An optional cancellation insurance is available during booking, allowing cancellation up to 48 hours before departure for a full refund (excluding tickets where applicable). Operator cancellations due to weather or unforeseen circumstances are fully refundable. No-shows will be charged the full price.
