Hotel Pickup 

Your guide and driver meet you at your hotel. No meeting point to find, no group to locate.

Palácio da Pena · Sintra 

A 19th-century Romanticist palace painted in reds and yellows on a hilltop above the town, with entrance tickets included. Your guide walks you through its royal history before the day-trip buses fill the courtyard.

Sintra Historic Center 

A guided walk through the cobbled streets below the palace, past the town's older architecture and small shops, on foot, at your own pace.

Cascais · Atlantic Coast (regular route) 

A guided orientation walk through this seaside town west of Lisbon, followed by free time for lunch by the water. Travelers who choose the Quinta da Regaleira upgrade take free time for lunch in Sintra instead, then visit the estate's Initiation Well, gardens, and tunnels in place of Cascais.

 

Return to Lisbon 

The drive back to your hotel, closing out the day.

  • The second half of the day runs one of two ways, Cascais's seafront, or an upgrade to Quinta da Regaleira and its Initiation Well. 

  • A walking experience, Sintra's cobbled streets and the palace's hillside grounds call for comfortable, flat-soled shoes.

  • Lunch is free time, so you choose where and what to eat, in Sintra or Cascais.

  • Sintra sits higher and further inland than coastal Cascais and tends to run cooler and mistier than central Lisbon, worth a light layer even outside winter.

Free cancellation up to 7 days before the scheduled date (excluding monument/attraction tickets, which are non-refundable). An optional cancellation insurance is available during booking, allowing cancellation up to 48 hours before departure for a full refund (excluding tickets where applicable).

Operator cancellations due to weather or unforeseen circumstances are fully refundable. No-shows will be charged the full price.
